Will They Ever Get It?

The other day I just about lost it with Mike. I love the kid, but sometimes I really have to wonder about him. We had company coming over and the kids had left there stuff all over the living room. They had all walked in the front door from school and dumped their backpacks on the floor and then proceeded to empty them and scatter the contents all over the place. They do this quite often and I am always telling them to pick up their stuff. The silly thing is that they have really nice hooks for backpacks, coats and whatever else the feel they need that are not even 10 feet from where they drop their goods. Anyway, I was a little on the frustrated side because I had spent a good portion of the day cleaning the house. When I saw what they had done and knew that I had about 10 minutes before people were going to be at our house I proceeded to tell my children that I love so much that they needed to clean things up because people would be there soon. Mike, being the incredibly obedient child that he is then told me, "Mom, why do we always have to pretend that we live in a nice house? Everytime people come over you always make us clean up our stuff. Isn't that kind of like lying?"
HONESTLY!!!!!!!
It is a good thing I love that child!

Will I Ever Keep Up?

Probably not, but at least I am trying! Now that I have found my camera, I can now post pictures!! Yeah!!!! Unfortunately there aren't pictures of as many events as I would like to post. I guess that is what happens when you loose your camera.

Let's start back with pictures from March 6th. That was the day we celebrated Nelson's birthday. I would have posted them earlier when I posted about his birthday, but silly me, I lost my camera!! This wasn't the time I really lost it though. I only misplaced it for a day or two. It was found before the next major event. I just couldn't find it when I was on the computer. Anyway, as you might recall, we took Trax and FrontRunner to Ogden to go to a train show. Nelson had lots of fun.

Next on the list is Mike's birthday. Can you believe that I have an 11-year old? I sure don't feel old enough! He turned 11 on March 24th. For his birthday we went to the BYU Museum of Art. They had a really cool exhibit there by the artist who does all of the Eye Spy books. We had tons of fun. When we were done there we stopped at Two Jacks Pizza in Spanish Fork on the way home.

Isn't Mike handsome in his new scout uniform?

Mike had a bunch of his friends over for a little party the next Friday. That was a wild experience!!

The last thing that took place before loosing my camera was Maggie's first dance recital. She was a lion in a production of The Wizard of Oz. She was so excited and nervous before it started!

She was so excited afterwards that it tooks hours to get her to go to sleep!

And then I lost my camera...

Who Needs Technology?

Well, to answer that question, apparently I do. I have had my life completely turned upside down the last 2 months. I never realized how dependent I have become on all the little gadgets that make my life easier. To start things off, I lost my camera right before Easter. I have no pictures of Easter this year. You will just have to believe me when I tell you that my kids looked really cute in the matching clothes my mom sent for them. You will also have to take my word for it when I tell you that my daughters were awesome when they each donated 10 1/2 inches of hair to Locks of Love. They look really cute with their new short haircuts. I also have no pictures of Josh's 7th birthday. I am really frustrated by this. The good news is that I found the camera on Sunday!!!! It was at the bottom of a bag that I very rarely use that was hanging in my closet. Now I have to make up for some of the pictures I missed. I didn't realize how often I use my camera.

I have also misplaced my phone several times in the last month. Luckily I never took more than a week to find the darn thing. I think I should have it surgically attached.

I also never realized that I really NEED to have my mp3 player with me when I run. I am way too easily distracted. My old one that I have had for quite a while finally decided to quit working a couple of weeks ago. It was stuck on pause. Then when I tried to plug it into my computer, the computer wouldn't detect it. I tried running without it. It didn't work. I am way too ADD. Luckily I have a wonderful husband who took pity on me and bought me a new iPod for Mother's Day. Another problem solved.

As if that weren't enough to deal with, my computer has broken twice in the last month. I think I have become obsessed. I almost went insane not being able to check my email, facebook, and catching up with everyone's blogs. I have felt really out of touch with everything!! My poor mom thinks that I have fallen off the face of the earth and that she needs to hold an intervention. I think we have everything fixed now and life can get back to normal. I should be done with all the panic attacks for a while!
